ABOUT ME

I am a student teacher at the University of Calgary. I am also a mother and a life-long learner. Prior to entering the after-degree program at the Werklund School of Education, I obtained a BA in Communications, two graduate diplomas in oil and gas, and a Master of Arts in Political Science. Although I went on to spend many years covering energy news, I have belonged in a classroom since… forever. I have been an educator in different capacities -from encouraging dental health as a grade 6 student to Education Assistant, Teaching Assistant to Instructor at the undergraduate level.

Overall, I am an education advocate. I’m always enthusiastic about the many opportunities that education opens for us, as teachers and as learners. This summer, I will be working on a project that will allow me to combine my passion for languages, skills, and educational background while gaining research experience in the field of education.
